Empowered to Educate is proud to announce that we succeeded in Global Giving’s 2019 Accelerator, becoming a recognized partner of Global Giving!
We began the Accelerator with a minimum threshold of raising $5,000 from 40 unique donors in the month of December. Today, we can proudly say that we raised $17,250 from 85 unique donors and finished 3rd in the Accelerator program! We would like to thank our generous donors for making our fundraiser so successful--because of you, we will be able to launch our fellowship program in 2020, and we can continue to fundraise with Global Giving for years to come.
Beginning the Accelerator program, we knew it would be a challenge. We had to create a project page, recruit at least 40 donors, and fundraise in a way that was entirely new to us. But with hard work, collaboration, and the resources provided by Global Giving, our campaign went off without a hitch! We compiled our largest email list yet, sent out weekly newsletters to our donors, and promoted our fundraiser in the press. It was a busy month, but we could not be happier with the results. However, we still have a way to go before we can launch all 10 of our 2020 fellowships, and we will continue to fundraise in the upcoming months.
As Accelerator graduates, we can now continue our relationship with Global Giving as official partners. “We’re thrilled to have United Planet Corps/Empowered to Educate as part of our community.
