Agnes Ayariga Atanga
As the first female in her family and community to pursue a career in ICT, Agnes is passionate about guiding other women through the process and reducing gender inequality in STEM-related fields. Through Empowered to Educate, Agnes hopes to actualize her initiatives to support women in STEM and to enhance her capabilities as a mentor for youth and colleagues.
Agnes is the leader of the Academic Success Team, a foundation that seeks to support the development and success of students’ research, mentorship, and training. She is also the Regional Vice-Chairperson of the CAMFED Association, where she has trained and empowered 300 Senior High School female graduates in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). She received her Bachelor of Science in ICT Education at the University of Education, Winneba, in 2019.
She established the Northern Women in Tech (N-WiT) club to empower women in her community. She is also a member of the Python Community Ghana and an Artificial Intelligence trainer at Ghana Tech Lab. Agnes aspires to be a teacher, Data Scientist, writer, community leader, and motivational speaker who inspires the world around her. She believes that success is not measured by wealth but rather by the number of people whose lives one has touched positively.
